Welcome

What is an eating disorder?

Disordered eating arises from many cultural sources: Weight loss dieting, ‘healthy’ eating taken too far, stress-driven overeating, and all forms of negative body image. We treat all types of eating and exercise problems in children, adolescents, and adults, both males and females. Our goal is that each client finds freedom in recovery through a dynamic, multidisciplinary treatment program ( Click here for a detailed description).

We offer clients a variety of treatment options that include:

  • Individualized therapy

  • Personalized nutrition consultation

  • Topic focused groups

  • Workshops

  • Family support groups

  • As well as the Central Coast Outpatient Intensive Eating Disorder Program (IOP)

The IOP utilizes a combination of the above therapeutic options, creating a holistic approach to freedom from the tyranny of disordered eating. Participants are encouraged to maintain treatment with their personal M.D., psychiatrist, and/or therapist to ensure continuity of care and support. Services are covered by most insurance plans.

Treatment plans are individual and coordinated. For the convenience of participants, our program offers three intensive 3 hour intimate dynamic group experiences evenings and Saturdays.
